Lot 58 –Deer Crest

Taylor Residence- Custom Home Approx. 7500 Sq. ft.

The home is an example of a collaborative effort between the Owner and the Design Team.

The home, built on a steep ski-in ski-out lot in Deer Crest, demonstrates how a home can be fully connected to its site. The layout takes full advantage of stunning views of the Jordanelle Reservoir and the Uintas and integrates the homeowners interests and activities into the design.

For example, to create a friendly pub feeling in the downstairs recreation area, the design team incorporated a mixture of reclaimed building materials.  Builder Craig Mogel incorporated bricks from a demolished Park City Building, the walls are reclaimed oak barnwood, the wood in the ceiling is from an old pickle factory and the beams and flooring are from an old mushroom operation.

A unique feature designed by Mogel for some of his clients is The smoking and Wine tasting room; sealed off the from the rest of the house and well ventilated, the room’s air is exchanged and replaced every 30 seconds
